Brand Identity
Watts Architects & Engineers

Watts Architects & Engineers was founded by Edward O. Watts, who grew up on a small farm in the segregated South. His family encouraged him to get an engineering degree—what they believed would be his path to a better life.

Over 35 years, Watts has purposefully grown from Mr. Watts' one-man environmental engineering operation into a leading interdisciplinary team of architects and engineers.

Now headed by Ed's son, Ed Jr., Watts has become one of the largest Black-owned and minority-led A&E firms in New York State.

As a team and as architects and engineers, Watts creates space for what matters—and transforms that space into place.

A bold, design-forward expression of the team's command the modular, accessible, and ready-to-deploy brand language creates consistency, helping to connect Watts' offices in multiple cities.

The reimagined monogram creates a strong presence that takes up space and reflects the transformations delivered as a national firm.

A modernized color palette of diverse blues and greens reflects the versatility of the firm, while also staying true to its environmental roots.
